The Indian cricket team started the T20 Asia Cup 2025 just like a dream. In the match played against UAE on Wednesday evening, India performed in such a way that it won the heart of every cricket lover. India achieved the small target of 58 runs in just 4.3 overs and registered a spectacular victory by 9 wickets with 93 balls remaining. This is India’s biggest win in T20 cricket so far in terms of balls remaining.

Indian batsmen made the victory a mere formality. Opener Abhishek Sharma hit 30 runs in 16 balls in a rapid style, which included three skyscraper sixes and two fours. Along with him, Shubman Gill also showed a fast game and took the team to the target by scoring unbeaten 20 runs in 9 balls. Captain Suryakumar Yadav returned unbeaten on 7 runs.

Indian bowlers’ havoc

Earlier in bowling, the Indian bowlers did not give any chance to UAE. Team India, who won the toss and bowled first, bundled out UAE for just 57 runs in 13.1 overs. Kuldeep Yadav wreaked havoc with his spin and took four wickets for 7 runs in 2.1 overs. All-rounder Shivam Dubey took three wickets for just 4 runs in 2 overs. Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel and Varun Chakraborty also got one wicket each.

UAE’s batting scattered

UAE had a good start when opener Alishan Sharafu and captain Mohammad Wasim added 26 runs without losing a wicket. But after this the Indian bowlers made a stormy comeback and completely demolished the opposition team. UAE’s innings was reduced to 57, in which Sharafu scored the highest 22 runs.
